Chiefs move past Ams for 4th place

SPOKANE - Eric Williams turned away 37 shots as the Spokane Chiefs beat the Prince George Cougars 6-4 in Western Hockey League play in front of 4,223 at the Spokane Arena on Tuesday night.
Spokane (42-25-2, 86 points) has won eight of its past nine games to move two points in front of Tri-City for fourth place in the Western Conference. Spokane will host Tri-City on Friday at 7:05 p.m.
Adam Helewka and Mitch Holberg both had a goal and an assist and Blake Gal added three assists for Spokane, which outshot Prince George 26-6 in the first period and 41-39 for the game.
