NOXON – The Red Devil Track and Field team began practice on Monday in preparation of the upcoming season.
On the warm afternoon, the team had to practice on the street due to their still muddy and snow-covered track.
Head Coach Matt Havens said he expects the team to compete at every track meet.
“We have 23 kids coming out for track and there’s lots of experience. We should do well,” said Coach Havens.
The team has 13 returning athletes, a good number securing them some experience.
The first practices will be focused on condition and later will be concentrated into fine-tuning individual events.
The Red Devils have no home meets this season and will be on the road for every meet.
Although, the team will be traveling, Coach Havens said he likes being on the road.
