EPHRATA - Jensen Farms Produce claims a Chicago distributor owes it more than $79,000 for several shipments of onions that were never paid for.

The Warden onion producer filed a lawsuit against Wayne's World, Inc., in Grant County Superior Court recently.

The lawsuit alleges Wayne's World failed to pay Jensen Farms for seven shipments of onions sent from Grant County between May 2012 and January 2013.

The Illinois company first contacted Jensen Farms in March 2012 to inquire about purchasing onions, according to court records. Jensen Farms reportedly sent the first shipment of onions to Wayne's World on May 22 last year.

The last shipment was sent to Wayne's World on Jan. 14, according to the lawsuit.

According to court documents, the seven shipments were worth an estimated $79,316.

Jensen Farms is asking the court to require Wayne's World to repay the $79,316 plus interest, according to the lawsuit. Jensen Farms also wants the court to require Wayne's World to pay for their attorney fees. Wayne's World owner Wayne Passoff was unavailable for comment as of press time Tuesday.
