MATTAWA - Mattawa Area Food Bank volunteers hope you'll drop by their booth Saturday to enjoy hot dogs and, at the same time, support a drive to assist the food bank.

The price of the hot dogs will be whatever you choose to donate.

The hot dog fundraiser will be held on Saturday, March 16, from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. at Mattawa Lep-Re-Kon Harvest Foods on Government Way. Lunch will be hot dogs, chips and pop.

"Come meet our local CHS employees and Mattawa Area Food Bank volunteers," the food bank's Robin Curtis said.

The hot dog feed is a kickoff event for the CHS Harvest for Hunger drive. CHS Country Operations locations are conducting their third annual Harvest for Hunger food drive through March 20.

"We will gather donations of money, food and grain for Second Harvest and local Food Banks," CHS's Deana Freeman said. "Best of all, for every donation we collect, CHS Country Operations will also make a local contribution to help our friends and neighbors right here in Mattawa."

Employees at CHS are working together with the goal of raising more than two million meals.
