Fourth annual Freeman Freeze: 1 mile fun run, 10:30 a.m.; 5K, 10:45. Freeman High School. $25 with T-shirt and lunch, $20 with T-shirt or lunch, $10 race only.

St. Paddy's Five: Spokane Community College, 10 a.m. $20, with shirt, if postmarked by Feb. 25. $10, no shirt. $5 late fee. Qualifying race for second seed at Bloomsday. Register at active.com, or pick up application in Race Rag at Sports Cellar in downtown Cd'A.

SATURDAY, March 23

Rapid Rabbit Run: 10 a.m., 5 and 3 mile races. East Valley High School. Awards, refreshments, prizes. $18 with shirt or $10 without by March 1. Race day, $18 no-shirt only. Spokane River Run: 50K ($60/$85), 25K ($40/$65), 10K ($27/$42) and 5K. Cost is with or without shirt. Races begin at 7:45 a.m., Start, finish at old airstrip next to the Seven Mile Bridge at Riverside State Park. All four distances are primarily run on single-trail trail. Info: spokaneriverrun.com

Spring Dash: 10 a.m., Coeur d'Alene. Due to planned construction on Front Street, officials are working on a different start/finish and course. Race registration on Active.com

SATURDAY, April 27

Race-2-Place: 10K and 5K runs to benefit Park's Place. 9 a.m., Centennial Trail, Mirabeau Park Trailhead. Out-and-back race along the shores of the Spokane River. Prizes. $25. www.race2place.org.
