FERNAN: Staff is greatly appreciated
Just wanted to let the wonderful teachers and staff at Fernan Elementary school know how much you are appreciated. I have two children at Fernan and the last 3 years I have had the privilege of volunteering in their classrooms and with the PTA. This experience has allowed me to witness the countless times teachers and staff have gone above and beyond for their students. I see teachers go out of their way to develop and find materials to keep advanced learners challenged. I witness the great lengths that are taken to help struggling learners get up to speed.
Many staff members also volunteer their personal time to teach after school activities to help enrich the students learning experience at Fernan. I have seen staff members play the role of disciplinarian, mentor, supporter, and instructor all in a day's work. My youngest son's kindergarten teacher has taken time out of her schedule to come and support the students in her class at a soccer game and basketball game this year. The kids were so excited to see that their teacher had come to cheer them on. I asked my 2nd grader what he liked the most about Fernan. He replied "Really Cool Teachers!" I couldn't have said it better myself. I just wanted to let you know that your dedication is truly appreciated and does not go unnoticed. Thank you to the entire Fernan staff!

ROADHOUSE: Cares for other workers
YEHAW! Let's hear it for the Texas Roadhouse! On March 6 a benefit luncheon was held to raise money for a crewmate at another restaurant, Red Lobster's Laura Lopez, who is battling cancer.
A special thanks to Annette, Mitch, Kelly and Travis for creating a delicious pulled pork sandwich, corn, coleslaw, and of course a yummy honey bun with cinnamon butter, all for $7.
A deep and sincere appreciation to all the folks who came in and bought their to-go- lunches. $5 of every sandwich sold was donated to Laura. She received a check in the amount of $840.
Red Lobster is very appreciative of a community who really cares and walks to talk!

GOODBYE: Will miss customers, co-workers
Just a quick thanks to all the sportsmen and sportswomen of North Idaho for making my job so rewarding, fun, and exciting at the Wholesale Sports in Coeur d'Alene.
It's been such a great ride working behind the gun counter. I'm really going to miss all the great customers, fellow co-workers, and the super management team.
Shoot straight, be safe, have fun, and I'll be seeing you all down the trail.
