Hotel Libby busy behind the doors

Besides turning into a film set on Saturdays, Hotel Libby is a hotbed for other activity.
Gail Burger, Hotel Libby project manager, has her sights set on a grant to help with the grand staircase, but said it’s too early to get into the details.
For interested donors, Burger has set up a “key club,” where certain amounts of donation will earn the donor a key – a plaque of sorts.
“They don’t unlock anything,” Burger said. “We are getting great support from the community, even over in Whitefish and Kalispell.”
She said many donations are coming from out of state, but the brunt of work will obviously have to be local.
“We’re planning on working from the top down,” Burger said. “I won’t even consider work to officially have started until we work on the roof.”
