School board trustee seats up for election
Whitefish Pilot | Hagadone News Network | UPDATED 12 years, 7 months AGO
Two trustee seats on the Whitefish School District Board are up for election this year. The deadline for candidates to file is Thursday.
The terms of Charlie Abell and Ruth Harrison expire in May. Both seats are for three years.
Harrison has filed for re-election, but as of Monday no other candidates had filed for the seats.
There is also one non-voting trustee seat available for a representative from the Olney-Bissell School District to serve on the board. The seat has been open, due to lack of interest, for several years, but is available.
Nominating petitions are available in the school district office downstairs in the middle school and must be returned by noon on Thursday, March 28. For more information contact the district office at 862-8640.
