Harlan Forest Frazey, 91

Harlan Forest Frazey, 91, of Rathdrum, joined his wife, Maggie and daughter, Linda in heaven on March 25, 2013. He passed away while staying at Generations Assisted Living in Rathdrum. He was born May 10, 1921, in Cody, Neb., to William Frazey and Blanche Kirk.
He married his sweetheart, Maggie, on Dec. 7, 1946. They lived in Post Falls for many years before moving to Rathdrum.
He retired from Idaho Veneer in 1983. He served four years in the Army Air Corps as an airplane mechanic during World War II, traveling around the world on a ship. He enjoyed camping, fishing, hunting, and playing cards and dominos with his family. After retirement, he kept busy making wooden furniture. He was a proud member of the VFW.
He is survived by his granddaughters, Kim Sawyer and husband Dennis of Rathdrum, and Lorie Moore and husband Jim of Seattle; sister Retha of Cheney; brother Steve and wife Barb of Post Falls; great-grandchildren, Jeremiah and Jessica Dehnert, and Kendra Moore; great-great-grandson Hank Dehnert, son of Jeremiah and Melissa; and many nieces and nephews, including Ed and Nancy Frazey.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 30, 2013, at Yates Funeral Home, Hayden Chapel, 373 E. Hayden Ave., Hayden. Viewing will be held from 10-11 a.m. Graveside services will follow. Yates Funeral Homes has been entrusted with the care of final arrangements.
