Detail of Station 9 of the Journey to the Cross prayer walk at Crossroads Christian Fellowship on Thursday, March 28, in Bigfork. At this station participants were invited to privately write notes of confession to God, fold them, and nail them to the 8 by 6 foot, 175 pound wooden cross. The notes remain private and are not read. On Sunday the notes will be gathered and burned in an outdoor fire pit as part of the Easter Sunday sunrise service. Journey to the Cross is a biennial event which began in 2011. (Brenda Ahearn/Daily Inter Lake)
