A 21-year-old Columbia Falls man is dead following a single-vehicle accident shortly after midnight Thursday morning.

According to the Flathead County Sheriff’s Office, Christian Earl Evenson was not wearing a seat belt and was thrown from his vehicle when he crashed in the 100 block of Hellman Lane southeast of Columbia Falls.

There were no other passengers in the vehicle.

Alcohol may have been a factor in the crash, which remains under investigation by the Montana Highway Patrol.
