Although an Evergreen couple was able to overpower him and keep him in one place until law officers arrived, an attorney was unable to produce Jordan Elliott for a pair of court hearings.

Elliott, 26, of Kalispell was scheduled to appear Thursday on a 2011 case and a 2009 case, for which he has not fulfilled the sentences and the Flathead County Attorney’s Office is seeking to revoke.

District Judge Heidi Ulbricht issued a bench warrant for his arrest.

Elliott had been free after posting $95,000 bond following a Jan. 3 incident.

Elliott allegedly led police on a chase reaching speeds of nearly 100 miles per hour that ended when Elliott fled from his car into an Evergreen neighborhood, where Michael Stephens tackled him and withstood his assaults until his girlfriend, Amy Luis, hit Elliott with the butt of her rifle and then held him at gunpoint for Flathead County deputies.

He is charged in that case with felony counts of theft, criminal endangerment, assault with a weapon, assault on a peace officer and criminal mischief, as well as a misdemeanor count of fleeing from or eluding a peace officer.

If convicted on all charges, he faces between two and 61 years in prison and a fine of up to $252,000.

In addition, Elliott faces revocation of two sentences, the most recent a five-year suspended sentence from District Judge Ted Lympus on Feb. 16, 2012, for being in possession of syringes, methamphetamine and spoons when arrested as a parole fugitive in April 2011.

That sentence was to run concurrently with Elliott’s sentence in the 2009 case, which included the revocation of earlier sentences from 2004 and 2006.

The 2009 sentence from District Judge Stewart Stadler totaled three years in prison and four years of probation for criminal possession of dangerous drugs.
