BONNERS FERRY  — Suspects in four of the 10 bomb threats have been identified by authorities.

A juvenile is responsible for two bomb threats against Boundary County School District on March 18 and 19, according to authorities. Those threats were made by telephone.

The juvenile, whose identity is not being released, is not a student of the Boundary County School District, but is from Boundary County, according to a press release by the Boundary County Sheriff’s Office.

The juvenile has admitted to making both threats by telephone, but there is no evidence of

involvement with any of the previous threats according to the Sheriff’s Office.

The case has been forwarded to the Boundary County Prosecuting Attorney for determination of appropriate charges.

A 12-year-old juvenile is being charged in connection with the bomb threat on Jan. 15 at Boundary County Middle School. The juvenile is being charged with false reporting of explosives in a public place, a felony.

The Board of Trustees will be holding an expulsion hearing for a student connected with the Feb. 19 high school bomb threat. The hearing, not open to the public, was scheduled for Tuesday, March 26 but was postponed until after spring break.
