One day, three races.

North Idaho runners will have plenty of options next Sunday, April 7.

First up is the third annual Leashes and Laces 5K Fun Run/Walk With Your Dog: Greyhound Park and Event Center. It begins at 11 a.m., with proceeds benefiting the Post Falls Police Department K-9 Unit. Info: postfallspolice.com

The third annual Marty Smalley Organ Donation Awareness 5K Walk/Run is set for 3 p.m., Riverstone pavilion. $10, T-shirts and refreshments. Can register at Fleet Feet, 511 E. Sherman Ave. or day of race. Info: Jessica, 818-3709

The Hauser Lake Watershed Coalition's 10K Ice Breaker Run is scheduled 10 a.m. at the south end boat launch behind the Hauser Fire Station.

The Ice Breaker is a Bloomsday second-seed qualifying race which means that those runners who finish the course in less than 39 minutes for men or 47 minutes for women will earn a better starting position at Bloomsday.

An improvement from last year is that the timing chips will be embedded in the race numbers so no ankle straps will be required.

Registration for this year's race is $25 with shirt and $15 without a shirt.

Registration forms are available at www.hauserwatershed.org.

First-place for both men and women will be a $100 gift certificate for shoes from sponsor Fleet Feet in Coeur d'Alene. $25 Cabela's gift certificates will be given to those finishing second and third place in both the men and women categories.

Info: Jo DesMarais at 773-0911 or Jabet Wheeler at 777-0483.
