Patrick McCubbins, a 1994 Columbia Falls High School graduate, recorded his 100th win at Estrella Foothills High School, in Goodyear, Ariz., on March 19.

McCubbins has an overall record of 102-54 in his six years as head coach at Estrella, with two state championship appearances.

On the same night, McCubbins’ son Cameron, a junior at Estrella, got his 98th, 99th and 100th career hits. Cameron has been selected all state the last two years and is currently batting .570 after 12 games.

Whitefish Mountain Resort’s post-season uphill policy expired last week, but with significant snowfall and changing weather conditions, the resort reminds skier and hikers that avalanche hazards in the ski area’s permitted boundaries do exist.
