MOSES LAKE - A Moses Lake man was arrested Tuesday evening after allegedly displaying a firearm from his vehicle when another motorist made an obscene hand gesture.
The suspect, Celton M.Z. Kimmell, 20, was arrested and booked into Grant County Jail on charges of possession of a firearm by a minor and felony possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver.
The victim told Grant County Sheriff's deputies he was cut off about 6 p.m. by the suspect's vehicle while driving on the 1200 block of Pershing Road in Moses Lake, according to reports. The victim then displayed his middle finger at Kimmell. At that point, Kimmell allegedly pulled out a gun and displayed it to the victim.
The victim was able to provide a description of the suspected vehicle and two male suspects inside.
Police stopped the suspected vehicle, a blue Chevrolet Cavelier, on the 1100 block of Broadway Avenue near Big R about an hour after the initial report was made. Deputies recovered a firearm which was seen lying on the driver's seat, according to reports.
The vehicle was seized as evidence.
The Moses Lake Police Department also assisted during the incident.
