McMullen, Brooks claim wins at North Star League Championships

HARRISON FLATS — Seamus McMullen won the 100, 200 and high jump to lead the Clark Fork track team on Tuesday at the North Star League Championships at Kootenai High School.

Brennan Brooks won the pole vault, Brandan Bowen was second in the pole vault and both hurdles races, and Nick Heward’boach was second in the 800 for the Wampus Cat boys, who finished third among five teams.

Desi Westphal, Megan Frazier, Alicia Heigis and Chandler Fitzpatrick teamed up to win the spring medley to lead the Clark Fork girls team, which also finished third. Fitzpatrick was also second in the 300 hurdles and Danielle Lowry was second in the discus for the Cats, who now turn their attention to the regionals in Kamiah on May 10.
