Contractors Northwest, Inc. gets construction contracts

Contractors Northwest, Inc. has recently been awarded three contracts - a warehouse renovation and expansion for URM Stores in Spokane, a renovation of Super 1 Foods in Colville, Wash. and an administration building for the Colville Tribe in Nespelem, Wash.

The contracts are in addition to the recently-started Doyle's Warehouse expansion in Coeur d'Alene.

CNI has offices in Coeur d'Alene and Boise.

HMH Engineering hires Steve Johnson

HMH Engineering hired Steve Johnson as a construction administrator in the Hayden office.

Johnson has 30 years of service with the Idaho Transportation Department where he worked on projects all over the Panhandle, including I-90, U.S. 95 and many local projects. After 20 years of field supervision, he spent 10 years as a district records inspector, serving as an internal auditor. He holds certifications with the Western Alliance for Quality Transportation Construction.

HMH Engineering, LLC., is a locally owned civil engineering company in Hayden, which specializes in design, construction administration and inspection services for transportation projects.

Cooper becomes Cartus Network Buyer Specialist

Tomlinson Sotheby's International Realty announced that Sheree Cooper has achieved the Cartus Network Buyer Specialist (CNBS) certification. This annual certificate is part of the Certified Agent Advantage program, a professional standard available exclusively to principal brokers of the Cartus Broker Network - the network of real estate brokers serving the clients and customers of Cartus.

Cartus requires qualified Network agents to become certified as relocation experts by participating in one or more Certified Agent Advantage courses and passing a written exam upon completion. The CNBS Certification course in which Cooper participated covered issues surrounding the purchase of a destination home, as well as the most effective techniques for helping clients research communities, locate their new homes, and settle into their new areas of the United States.

Solace for the Children establishes local branch

Solace for the Children, a national nonprofit, has established a North Idaho/Spokane branch and appointed a board of directors.

The board includes: Tony Ledford, president; Robert Miller, vice president, Chrisdee Imthurn, treasurer; Linda Hagen Miller, secretary, Jocelyn Stott, assistant secretary; and Jill Ledford, branch coordinator.

Solace for the Children provides medical care, education and leadership development for the children of war-torn countries. The current focus is the children of Afghanistan.

Solace has branches in seven states. Last summer the North Idaho/Spokane branch hosted an 11-year-old Afghan boy who is an amputee. This summer the group will host three boys and two girls.
