COEUR d'ALENE - The Coeur d'Alene Vikings swept the mixed doubles and girls doubles to beat the Lake City Timberwolves 9-3 on Tuesday.

"Our mixed doubles played well," Coeur d'Alene girls coach Laura Taylor said. "They were new players, playing with new partners and only lost three games. I don't know if we'll keep it that way, but we're trying it out."

The boys doubles team of Jacob Dahl and Nick Jordan won in three sets for Lake City, which travels to Sandpoint on Thursday.

"They just kept their cool and came out with a win," Lake City boys coach Tim Scott said. "They have a tendency to lose their composure, but held on to close out the match with a win."

Coeur d'Alene travels to Post Falls on Thursday.
