Rosemary A. Templin, 83, went to her heavenly resting place on April 27, 2013. She was born Oct. 4, 1929, in Springfield, Mo., and was the youngest child of Joseph and Weltha Howard. She had two brothers, George and Cecil and one sister, Dorothy.

Rosemary moved with her family from Missouri to Moscow in 1935. After graduating from Ursuline Academy of Our Lady in 1948 in Moscow, she went to work for GTE Phone Company as an operator. While working there, she attended the University of Idaho from 1948 to 1951. But, it wasn’t until she went to work for Dr. Howard Miller in Moscow as a dental assistant that she found her true calling. She enjoyed the dental field and continued her dental career when she moved to Coeur d’Alene and went to work for Dr. Robert Scates. She went on to be president of the American Dental Association.

She was briefly married to Donald H. Perry, divorced and met and married Robert G. Templin in 1958. They had one son together; Robert E. Templin. They later divorced and Rosemary moved back to Denver, Colo., in 1972 where she went to work for Patterson Dental Supply. She later went to work for Coors Porcelain Co. in the Bio-medical division until she retired. After retiring in 1991, she moved back to Coeur d’Alene where she enjoyed spending time with her many friends and family.

Within a few years, she was ready for a change and moved back to Denver and became involved as an independent consultant for the Native American Tribes and also became a Disaster Assistance Employee for FEMA. At that time, Rosemary met the love of her life, Guenter Lange. After Guenter retired, they moved to Worley and resided until Rosemary’s passing.

Rosemary enjoyed many days sitting on the deck with her dog Elvis and feeding the hummingbirds. She loved to cook and spend the evenings together with her family. She was a good mother and grandmother and will be greatly missed.

She is survived by Guenter Lange; her son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Patricia Templin of Worley; her grandson, Robert M. Templin; and several other grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Weltha; her brothers, George and Cecil; and her sister, Dorothy.

A celebration of her life will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, May 3, 2013, at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Worley. Final resting spot will be Viola cemetery next to her parents and brothers. Yates Funeral Home, Coeur d’Alene Chapel, is in charge of the arrangements. Please visit Rosemary’s memorial and sign her online guest book at www.yatesfuneralhomes.com.
