Track: Polson sweeps Lake County meet

RONAN — Polson swept its Lake County rivals at the county-wide meet on Tuesday.
Riley Sampson easily outdistanced the competition in both the shot put and discus to lead the Pirates on the boys’ side. Polson also got wins from Sean Laimbeer (100-meter dash), Tel Motichka (800), Will Davey (javelin) and the 400 relay.
Anna DiGiallonardo won the 100, 200, long jump and 300 hurdles to lead the Pirate girls to a comfortable team win. Hallie Hovenkotter won both of the distance runs for Polson, while Claudia Hewston won the pole vault, Chloe Huerta won the shot put and Amanda Harrod won the discus. The Polson girls also won the 400 relay.
