The sun is shining and the flowers are blooming, which means the time is here for 3Cs (Cancer & Community Charities) to hold its annual "Spring into Fashion" Show on Thursday, May 16 starting at 11:30 a.m. at The Coeur d'Alene Resort.

"This is a wonderful opportunity for the women in our community to get together, see the latest in fashions, and give back to this outstanding area in which we are fortunate to live," said Angela Cross, Fashion Show chairwoman.

The 14th annual "Spring into Fashion" gala will feature local ladies, local shops, boutiques, delicious food, and raffle and silent auction items which are provided by supportive merchants.

3Cs, an organization of more than 600 ladies, celebrated its 50th anniversary of giving last year. To date more than $1.5 million has been donated from the 3Cs to benefit the community. 3Cs is comprised of 13 activity groups who participate in their favorite pastimes while they generate funds for the nonprofits in our area.

This year's fashion show and luncheon is expected to be the best yet because of the hard work and innovative ideas which Marie Widmeyer, fashion show coordinator, and the 3Cs committee chairmen have incorporated. Glitz and Glamour will give participants an opportunity to purchase raffle tickets for $5 in order for their names to be placed in a drawing for one of two prizes - a $600 spa package for two or approximately $800 worth of gift certificates from the stores with clothing featured in the show. For this opportunity the winner does not have to be present to win. In addition, there will be numerous other opportunities for the attendees to walk away with some outstanding gifts.
