HAYDEN CREEK - Bob Balser and Brian Bunch have organized a small army of volunteers to begin cleaning up the Hayden Creek area this Saturday, but there is still room for more volunteers to participate.

Bunch said he has organized about 10 to 15 trucks to follow him up the creek, and Balser has two scout troops and some Young Marines, as well as a few other volunteers.

Balser has even arranged to feed the volunteers on a first-come, first-serve basis around noon at the rifle range.

Both groups plan to leave Saturday morning from different rendezvous points in Hayden, and they plan to spend at least a couple hours picking up trash.

Bunch is planning to meet Saturday morning at his office at 9040 N. Hess in Hayden. They hope to depart for Hayden Creek at 8:30 a.m. Call Bunch at (208) 659-5014 for more information.

Balser said he plans to meet with some of his volunteers in the Hayden Super 1 Foods parking lot (near the Goodwill drop off trailer). They hope to depart between 8:30 and 8:45 a.m., as well. Call Balser at (208) 691-0511.

Both said people familiar with the area can meet them at the cleanup sites later in the day if they can't leave at 8:30 a.m.
