Spree shopper and a hardworking Press photographer
Coeur d'Alene Press | UPDATED 13 years, 5 months AGO
Press photographer, Jerome Pollos, was hot on the heels of a shopper Thursday at Super 1 Foods in Coeur d'Alene.
Jerome was there to photograph a shopping spree event for The Press, and North Idaho College Communications and Marketing Specialist Tom Greene, was also there working, camera in hand.
Video taken by Greene shows North Idaho College Shopping Spree winner Roger Stewart grabbing $670 worth of food items.
It also shows a sliver of a day in the life of a Press shooter.
Congratulations, Roger Stewart and way to show 'em how it's done, Jerome.
The shopping spree was part of an NIC Athletics Department fundraiser. Stewart plans to donate much of his haul to families in need. Super 1 Foods in Coeur d’Alene donated the first $500 that Stewart was able to stuff in his cart, with the NIC Booster Club picking up the tab for the rest. Stewart said he will donate the larger bulk items to St. Thomas Church in Coeur d’Alene. All of the proceeds from the drawing will benefit NIC Athletics.
