After 10 frustrating innings Saturday, the Lady Trojan softball team found themselves on the losing end of 10-0 and 12-0 mercy-rule shortened shutouts.

The perpetrators were the Mission Lady Bulldogs, who restricted Troy to just seven hits in the two losses in St. Ignatius.

Bulldog pitcher Loren Erickson pitched both games for Mission, improving her record to 7-3.

Breanna Opland and Hailey Peterson had two hits each on the day as Troy was knocked to yet another pair of losses.

Troy had been handed two more losses Thursday afternoon by a talented Plains team.

The Lady Trojans hosted the Trotters but had another disappointing result as the hot bats of Plains helped beat Troy 12-2 and 12-8.

Opland went 2-for-4 with two RBIs and two runs scored in the first, closer game.

The second game was another mercy-shortened one, with Plains’ Diana Woodward going 2-for-3 with two runs scored.
