Well, the BFHS softball team can finally add one to the “W” column of their record this year.

The second game of their league doubleheader with Priest River resulted in the first win of the season for the Lady Badgers.

Makenzie Carle came in relief in the first inning and earned the honors. Lots of great hits plus teamwork on defense lead to the 12-8 victory on Saturday, April 27.

The story of the first game was Priest River’s standout pitcher, Brittany Krampert, pitching a no-hitter ending with a score of 12-1 over the Badgers.

Bonners Ferry lost to the Libby Loggers JV team 0-5 on Monday, April 29. Defense was on top of their game, but the offense struggled to put hits together.

Carle pitched and Reasoner caught.

The girls head into district playoffs starting Thursday at 5 p.m. at Timberlake.
