Softball: Trueblood throws 1-hitter for Wildkats

WHITEFISH — Ashley Trueblood threw a 1-hitter and Columbia Falls banged out 19 hits in a 22-0 softball victory over Whitefish on Friday in Northwestern A play.
Trueblood struck out five and walked just two batters.
Columbia Falls (8-5 overall, 3-1 league) exploded for 10 runs in the second inning. Tiffany Hummer, Kathrin Jetty and Catie King had three hits each for the Wildkats.
Whitefish’s Margot Myers broke up Trueblood’s no-hitter with a fifth-inning double.
