Whitefish started the final week of the regular season for Class A tennis by downing Columbia Falls in a Northwestern A dual contest on Monday.

The Whitefish boys won 6-1, losing only at No. 1 singles.

The Whitefish girls notched a 5-2 victory, losing at Nos. 1-2 singles.

“I am proud of my guys for bouncing back after a tough loss to Columbia Falls last week,” Whitefish boys coach Chris Schwaderer said.

“They played up to their potential and met my expectations for them. We are feeling good as we enter our final regular season match against Libby on Saturday and set our sights on the divisional tournament (next week).”

The win pushed the WHS girls dual record for the season to 10-1.

“They played really well,” WHS girls coach Patrick Dryden said.

“It was a good match for our kids, up-and-down the lineup. We were tested at every level. I thought both teams really improved today.”

Columbia Falls also has one dual left before divisional, at Libby on Friday.
