COEUR d'ALENE - Alec Barrowcliff finshed with five RBIs, Levi Pereira and Kolby DeHaas hit back-to-back home runs in the fourth inning and the Coeur d'Alene Vikings advanced to the championship game of the 5A Region 1 tournament with a 20-3 win over the Post Falls Trojans on Monday at Ted Page Field.

With the win, Coeur d'Alene (18-5) now hosts Lewiston (19-5) today at 4 in the championship game, with the winner advancing to state May 16-18 at Memorial Stadium, Boise.

Sean Sutton struck out five in four innings of work for Coeur d'Alene, and Pereira and DeHaas each had three RBIs.

LEWISTON - Kyler Brooks struck out nine Lake City batters in a Region 1 first-round tournament win for the Bengals (19-5).

Kyle Parson had both of the Timberwolves' hits.

"We had some mistakes today that cost us," Lake City coach Travis Georgius said.

With the loss, Lake City (8-13) will now host Post Falls today at 4 in a loser-out game.
