Kolten Pings and Adrian Longoria, fifth-graders at Cayuse Prairie School, listen to a discussion of different types of animals that inhabit the forest by Ken Cordoza of Whitefish at the Family Forestry Expo on Wednesday near Columbia Falls. The Expo is open to the public on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Head to the Trumbull Creek Educational Forest 2 miles north of the junction of U.S. 2 and Montana 40 for hands-on activities, a forest walk, exhibit tent and demonstrations at 10:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. For more details, go to www.familyforestryexpo.org.
