Browns returns to coach Columbia Falls volleyball
The Daily Inter Lake | Hagadone News Network | UPDATED 12 years AGO
Josie Brown is back coaching high school volleyball at Columbia Falls.
Brown was named the head coach last week pending school board approval. She previously coached the Wildkats from 2002-2005, guiding the team to a third-place finish in 2003. Columbia Falls also won a divisional title that year.
“I’m very excited to have Josie back as our head volleyball coach,” Columbia Falls activities director Troy Bowman said.
“We’re looking forward to a bright future for the Wildkat volleyball program.”
Bowman said Brown has stayed active in the sport by coaching club and youth volleyball.
“I would also see her in the crowd a lot at our high school games the last year or two,” Bowman said.
“She was interested to get back in it.”
Bowman said there are also openings for assistant volleyball coaching positions.
Addy Connelly resigned earlier this year. Columbia Falls finished with a 7-14 mark overall and advanced to state.
