Local tennis teams battle Bigfork

Troy’s boys tennis team kept rolling last Friday with a 5-1 clobbering of Bigfork.
The Viking’s only win came in the No. 1 singles slot, where Guvansche Ajagumayed beat Troy’s Bruce Metz 7-6, 6-1.
Troy’s Andrew Haggerty, Jeremy Hemlrick and Michael Goe all won in straight sets.
The Trojans were more heavily contested on the doubles side, but still prevailed.
The Lady Trojans had a tougher go, losing to the Valkyries 4-2.
Troy’s wins came at the top of the roster, with Holli Higgins, No. 1 singles player, beating Shelby Scoggins 6-2, 6-3.
The Lundin twins, Katie and Kellie, beat Bigfork’s Brooke Bogner and Madison Fraley 6-1, 6-4.
Libby’s scores were unavailable. The Loggers played Bigfork on Friday as well.
Troy travels to Mission on Friday. Libby travels to Frenchtown on Thursday.
