Becca Bauman

Air Force

track and field

Bauman, a junior from Post Falls High, finished fifth in the discus with a throw of 146 feet, 5 inches and finished fifth in the hammer throw with a throw of 162-9 at the Colorado State Invitational April 26-27. On May 3, Bauman won the hammer and discus at the Air Force Academy Twilight Meet with a throw of 167-7 1/4 in the hammer and 142-3 in the discus.

Katie Baker

Montana women's basketball

Baker, a senior from Coeur d'Alene Charter Academy who played basketball at Lake City High, was named to the Big Sky Conference 2012-13 Winter All-Academic team. Baker is one of three players on this year's women's team to be selected all four years.

Drew Turbin

Yavapai baseball

Turbin, a sophomore infielder from Coeur d'Alene High, was named to the All-Arizona Community College Athletic Conference first team and All-Region team. Turbin has appeared in 52 games for the Roughriders (41-10) and is batting .356 (63 for 177) with 35 RBIs, 45 runs scored and nine stolen bases. He's also a nominee for the Division I Gold Glove Award at third base.

Katie Rowe

College of Idaho softball

Rowe, a freshman from Lake City High, went 3 for 3 with five RBIs as the Lady Yotes (34-21) won their first Cascade Conference championship since 2009 with a 8-0 win against Oregon Tech. Rowe is batting .330 on the season with four home runs and 21 RBIs. They will play Gregory's of Shawnee, Okla., Monday in Irvine, Calif., in the opening round of the NAIA tournament.

Kristine Leonard

Idaho track and field

Leonard, a senior from Lakeland High, won the women's discus with a throw of 154-5 and the hammer throw with a career-best 175-8 at the Vandal Jamboree at the Dan O'Brien Track and Field Complex in Moscow. Leonard also finished second in the shot put with a career best 48-10 3/4.

Matt Wardell

Washington State track and field

Wardell, a freshman from Post Falls, finished third in the men's shot put with a throw of 53-1 3/4 at the Vandal Jamboree on Saturday in Moscow.

Kjirsten Magunson

Loyola Marymount swimming

Magnuson, a sophomore from Gonzaga Prep who swam at Lake City High, was named to the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation All-Academic list for the 2012-13 women's swimming and diving list. Magnuson, who competes in the backstroke and freestyle has a 3.41 grade point average.
