HEARN: Asks the right questions

I have known Tom Hearn for over 20 years and I am excited that he is campaigning for the Coeur d’Alene School Board Position 5. I am impressed with his depth of knowledge and his ability to listen to people, to assimilate and consider various viewpoints, and then make his point on issues impacting our community.

As a member of the CDA School Board, Tom Hearn will seek out, talk and listen to parents and teachers before making informed decisions. He has served on several mental health boards when asked by three separate governors and he has been consulted on mental health issues for those governors. Living in the community for over 30 years, both of his children were schooled in the Coeur d’Alene School District and his wife was an educator for over 20 years. Tom Hearn has listened to and read about educational issues for many years.  He has attended board meetings and lots of school events. Tom has seen the results that good teaching has had on in his children and wants to make sure that caliber of education continues. He has seen the dedication and professionalism of our teachers and wants to make sure the CDA School District can retain and attract top-notch educators. He will ask continuously from teachers and parents what is best for kids, what are the best practices, and what is the best way to accomplish the goal. I encourage you to go to the polls and vote for Tom Hearn if you want an informed person who will listen to teachers and parents before making a decision affecting the future education of our children.
