A Kalispell woman is heading to prison after violating the conditions of her suspended sentence less than four months after being sentenced.

Mandi Anderson, 27, was originally sentenced Oct. 9, 2012, to five years of probation after pleading guilty to a felony charge of burglary for stealing several items from the home of her ex-boyfriend in 2011.

She then admitted on Jan. 31 that she had violated her probation by using marijuana and methamphetamine.

Anderson since also pleaded guilty to a second charge of felony burglary for stealing several items from a relative’s home with the help of Derrick Jackson, 27, also of Kalispell.

During an April 9 hearing, District Judge David Ortley sentenced Anderson to five years with the Montana Department of Corrections with a recommended placement at Passages — which offers services for female offenders, including drug treatment — followed by pre-release, in which she would be transitioned back into the community.

Anderson was also given a further five years of probation and was ordered to work with Jackson to pay more than $24,500 in restitution. Jackson was sentenced Dec. 6, 2012, to 10 years of probation.
