A Whitefish man is back in court after allegedly selling drugs to an informant just eight days after being released on house arrest in another case alleging the same crime.

Oswald Lenzsch, 22, was first charged with a single felony count of criminal distribution of dangerous drugs after selling half a gram of heroin to a confidential informant for $175 on Dec. 11, 2012.

He pleaded not guilty and was released on house arrest on April 3.

Eight days later, Lenzsch is alleged to have done the same thing — not only selling more heroin, but again selling it to a confidential informant. Lenzsch allegedly sold the informant another half gram of heroin, this time for $125.

The informant also said Lenzsch had a much larger quantity of heroin, according to a court document. Based on that information, a search warrant was obtained for Lenzsch’s home.

The search turned up heroin, marijuana, 2.4 grams of crack cocaine, jewel bags, syringes, burnt aluminum foil, and several hundred dollars.

Lenzsch is charged with two felony counts of distribution of dangerous drugs based on the new allegations. He pleaded not guilty May 9 to those charges.

If convicted of all his charges in both cases, Lenzsch faces between one year and three consecutive life terms in prison, as well as a fine of up to $150,000.

His next hearing in the first case is set for June 12. His next hearing in the new case is set for Sept. 18.
