PF BOARD: Two superb choices

Like most involved parents, I believe that our schools benefit when caring parents are involved. That is why I want to voice my support of Julie Hunt and Dave Paul for Post Falls School Board. Both Julie and Dave were very active in the PTO’s of their children’s elementary and middle schools. They have both been involved with the Senior Drug and Alcohol Free Graduation Party. They are the type of parents that you see at every meeting, raising their hand and saying “Yes.”

Julie is a big supporter of choir, drama, and baseball at the high school. She is an advisor for the Key Club and will be with the kids picking up trash on their adopted section of Poleline this week. Dave is a board member of the Post Falls Education Association. This is the group that sponsors “Wine, Stein and Dine” every year. The proceeds from this event go directly to classrooms. This year’s donation was over $28,000.

Every June finds him at Ponderosa Elementary, giving horseback rides to 4th-graders during their annual Rendezvous. Between them, they have 13 years of service on the Post Falls School Board. Between them, they have over 30 years of experience of district committees and groups. They are the kind of involved parents we need on the board.

Remember to vote on May 21st. Julie Hunt for Zone 5 and Dave Paul for Zone 1.
