Sin isn't something for us to celebrate

Jason Collins came out of the closet and announced his sin to the world in celebratory fashion.
What is every bit as disturbing is he was encouraged to do so by people of liberal persuasion who called themselves progressive. Sports writers, media reporters, analysts, and editorialists all over the world called Jason a hero and a role model. Leading the pack was the president of the United States with his phone call to Jason telling him how proud he was for going public. I thought the president was supposed to lead America and the free world. This kind of leadership making history by publicly embracing sinful behavior is a disgrace. Shame on you Mr. President.
Those of liberal ilk have done such a good job selling their story even some conservatives are starting to believe it. They are trying to convince themselves that homosexuals are born with a perverted sexual orientation and are trapped in their circumstances with a body and mind they can't get free from. Rather than seek help to gain freedom from a sexual addiction, they are encouraged to openly celebrate their sins. However, we are dealing with a moral issue and the numbers of people who embrace or practice same gender sex does not make a wrong right. While coming out of the closet can give one a sense of freedom, the Bible says the "pleasures of sin are short lived." Guilt and other consequences are still a reality. God's Word also says "Do not be deceived, God is not mocked." This text not only applies to homosexuals, it applies to all of us because we are all sinners. The only way we can experience forgiveness and real freedom is through humility and repentance, not by pride in one's sin.
The promoters of perverted sex have done everything in their power to get society to accept unnatural same-sex unions. They use the media, the courts, and our public schools to teach our students at an early age that same-sex unions are normal and they should try to discover their own sexual orientation. This only causes confusion in the minds of vulnerable children. They also twist the arms of our legislators and congressmen to promote their cause. They have taken words such as gay and diversity and have given them new meaning or by adding to the definition to make homosexuality more acceptable. These changes have been made in the last 50 years, in the lifetime of many of us.
The time is long overdue for those who embrace the truth to stand up, speak out, and openly live the truth. It is time for us to celebrate heterosexuality (God's plan for male and female according to His creation plan). Let's march in the streets for heterosexual pride. I am asking you to join me by Coming Out of the politically correct closet.

There is such a thing as absolute truth
Periodically I am asked why I keep voicing my opinions in letters to the editor. The simple answer is I feel compelled to offer hope to those who are seeking political and/or religious answers to life’s uncertainties.

Reflections on an empty inaugural address
The following thoughts were prompted by remarks made by the President in his Inaugural address. His statements have given pause both for optimism and concern. My concern is that many people of liberal thought blindly embraced all the issues he presented as being good for America. We do not take time to examine thoroughly all sides of an issue. Our educational institutions put more emphasis on what to think rather than how to think. This is true of both secular institutions and many religious colleges and seminaries. The result is a high percentage of graduates are brainwashed. They turn out to be rubber stamped clones of what to think and believe by their favorite professors and institutions. They haven't learned how to come to reasonable conclusions on issues regarding philosophy, psychology, theology, and politics. Too many educators do not emphasize the importance of challenging their students how to think by the gaining of information through the free exchange of ideas for the purpose of discovering TRUTH. When we learn how to think: knowledge, wisdom, and common sense combined with experience will help us come to right conclusions.
