PLAINS – The Valley Press will be holding a garage sale on June 29th from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in front of the office at 105 W. Lynch Street. We are accepting donations and all proceeds will benefit Newspapers in Education.

NIE is a program in which school textbooks and teaching materials are supplemented with the use of the local paper. The program is designed to make reading the newspaper a fun and beneficial learning experience.

Our paper is supplied to students in the local schools to help make this possible.

Donations can be small or large items and will be accepted from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday up until June 19th.
