SCHOOLS: Three to get ready

I cannot be quiet anymore! I’m a teacher in the CDA district. I attend most board meetings, so I am informed as to what goes on there. No matter what this board says, they do have a political agenda. They say they listen to constituents. The parents of Hayden Meadows students wanted to give their parents a survey to see how their parents felt about the PYP program. The Board listened for 90 minutes, and then voted to remove it. A survey of the parents would have given them the information they should have had BEFORE they just got rid of it.

Our current Board wants to run our district as if it were a business producing nuts and bolts. Educating our children is different. They need to know children and how the educational process works. Do you want a CEO without a medical background making your medical decisions for you? Likewise, we should not have a School Board without some educational background.

Dave Eubanks, Tom Hearn, and Christa Hazel are the leaders this district needs and deserves. Dave Eubanks is a retired teacher. He has 10 children of his own, many adopted with special needs. Additionally, he owns his own company. He is running purely to do what is right for our children. Christa Hazel has a degree in law and has been a volunteer in the district for 7 years. Tom Hearn is a local psychologist with his own local practice. He’s spent his life helping people resolve problems/conflicts. His children attended the CDA School District.

These people have a vested interest in what is best for children and our schools. It’s just common sense that these three have the kind of commitment we should have running our school district. Please vote for the one in your area.
