GUNS: Beware the liberal shots

Excellent letter by Mr. Van Horn, very well reasoned and factual.

Unfortunately, the liberal anti-gun people will respond with ridicule and claim to be “More Enlightened.” That term reveals the petticoats of origin to be a state with higher crime rates, and more gun control laws that haven’t helped.

My perspective comes from experience with an armed home invader.

When he came into our bedroom with a gun, my wife was asleep, and I chose to fight. When it was over, I had the gun, and he had lacerations on top of his head from the gun. Being a senior citizen, I had a cracked hip, bite mark, and cuts and bruises. Since my wife of more than 30 years was unharmed, I also felt a sense of accomplishment.

I had no idea that liberals would deem him a victim. Even though he had shot two people earlier and had ties to the Aryans, I was dubbed a big bully by a letter writer.

An editorial writer for Spokane Socialist Review named me his “Butkas of The Year.” It seems that when his home was entered, he had an upstairs bedroom he locked himself in. Since the anti-gun crowd will spin the facts and go to any means to get their way, we should use their play book tactics.

They published a list of people with carry permits, with home addresses. We should do the same for our anti-gun local activists, and Google to penal institutions and everyone as was their tactic. That way we could rest easier knowing the ones their hearts bleed for will visit their friends, and we can store less ammo.
