PRESS: Don't forget Post Falls

Coeur d'Alene Press | UPDATED 11 years, 8 months AGO
| May 17, 2013 9:00 PM

The masthead on the front page of The Press that I receive here in Post Falls says — Post Falls Press. Well let me tell you, it is definitely NOT the Post Falls Press.

Today, May 10, all of the front page stories were about Coeur d’Alene. The big story in Post Falls about a 2-alarm fire barely made it to the front page of the second section and that fire was Wednesday night. Too late to get it in The Press? Hogwash! The fire reported was just after 7:30 p.m., plenty of time to get a picture and story for Thursday morning’s paper. Then the other day, the big story about the Greensferry overpass over I-90 did not make the front page.

PLEASE — no longer call it the Post Falls Press because it is not.

And your sports coverage continues to tremendously be a detriment. Who cares about filling an entire page with all those major league box scores and NBA box scores. Your sports staff continues to lag behind in great local coverage. There are so many more features that could be done. It’s time to upgrade your local and area sports coverage or replace your two-man sports staff-NOW.
