Steve Youngdahl has done a great job as the chairman of the Lake Pend Oreille School Board, and deserves to be re-elected next week.

When we moved here permanently two years ago, after spending several summers here, the quality of the schools was a large part of our decision making process. Our son Rob was entering eighth grade, and we wanted to be sure that he could get a quality education that would prepare him for college. We toured the middle school and the high school, and were very pleased with what we saw.

Our experience over the past two years has confirmed our initial impression. From academics to sports and other extracurricular activities, the Sandpoint schools have been one of many high points of our experience here.

We give Steve Youngdahl a significant portion of the credit for the high quality of the schools here. He has volunteered his services to the Lake Pend Oreille School Board for the past seven years. He has devoted an enormous amount of time, energy, and expertise to the board.

For the past year, he has been the chairman of the board, focusing on fiscal responsibility and student achievement.

Given Steve’s dedication, experience, and performance, he should be re-elected so he can continue his leadership of the school board.
