CYT to hold Family Day

COEUR d'ALENE - Christian Youth Theater of North Idaho held its spring opening at the Salvation Army Kroc Community Center Friday night, and today is Family Day at 3 p.m.

The theater group presents "Great American Tall Tails." There will be eight showings of the production, but today's show is bargain priced at $8, organizers said. They have 280 seats available.

The production will run through May 26.

The show features 74 local school kids on stage and 30 backstage. Organizers said their goal is to bring quality, low-cost, family entertainment to North Idaho.

The group is also working on its summer production of "Bye Bye Birdie," which will run July 19 through July 28.
