A Lake County woman was in custody Sunday afternoon after allegedly kidnapping a 2-year-old Polson girl Saturday evening.

Authorities allege Jamie Tanner Finley, 34, assaulted the mother of Lillianah Dawn Marie BigCrane before taking the girl and fleeing in a tan Dodge Durango with Montana plates.

A statewide Amber Alert was issued Sunday morning. According to the alert, “The suspect is under the influence of drugs and the child’s life is believed to be in danger.”

The Amber Alert was canceled several hours later when law enforcement arrested Finley. BigCrane was unharmed, said a Lake County Sheriff’s Department dispatch operator.

He said the case was ongoing, but he did not have additional information regarding the arrest.
