KNIVES: More for Purple Hearts

Purple Heart recipients of Afghanistan, Iraq, Vietnam, Korea and World War II will be presented with a special Buck commemorative knife, in appreciation of their honorable military service to our country, Saturday, Sept. 14, 10 a.m., Post Falls American Legion Post 143.
As I do not have a computer, my friend and fellow veteran Ross Jackman will be vetting the proof of award for every request for one of these special knives. Proof — a photocopy of DD-214 — mailed to him, postmarked no later than Aug. 31. His address is 211 S. Lincoln Ave., Sandpoint, ID 83864, or call (208) 265-2738.
Must be present at awards ceremony to receive a knife.
Exception: Family may receive a knife for one killed in action or who died from wounds received in action.
