William E. Pearson, 78, passed away at his home in Coeur d’Alene on May 21, 2013. He was born Jan. 27, 1935, in Philadelphia, Pa.

William was preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Florence Pearson; brothers, Dr. Albert Pearson, Dr. Robert Pearson, Richard Pearson and Lawrence Pearson. Married to Florence A. Mckinney on Sept. 15, 1956. Children Rosemary Hiruma, Marie Jane Pearson (deceased), Rachel Pearson, Mary Theresa Pearson, William David Pearson, Joseph Pearson, Willa Cahill, Jonathan Pearson, Molly Rose Pearson, Mara Pearson, Timothy Pearson, Elizabeth Graybill and Michael Pearson.

He earned his B.S., M.E. at Drexel Institute of technology, his M.S., M.E. from University of Buffalo, and his master’s management from UCLA school of business. He retired from Boeing Aerospace and moved to Coeur d Alene in 2003. He was a partner with Chris Farthing for the firm Balanced Engineering until 2010.

He will be greatly missed by his beloved wife, Florence; their 13 children; 25 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

God Creator and redeemer of all the faithful, grant to the soul of William E. Pearson the forgiveness of all his sins. Lord, in your mercy bring him to your place of peace and light the soul of William E. Pearson whom you have summoned from this world. Call him to be numbered in the communion of saints. We ask this through Christ our Lord, Amen.

Rosary will be at 7 p.m. Tuesday, May 28, 2013, at Yates Funeral Home, Coeur d’Alene Chapel. Requiem Mass for William will be held at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, May 29, 2013, at St. Joan of Arc Roman Catholic Chapel, 773 N. 11th St., Coeur d’Alene, with burial to follow at St. Thomas Catholic Cemetery.
