Monday, May 20
8:49 a.m. A vehicle was vandalized on Skyles Place.
2:11 p.m. An iPad and computer were stolen from an apartment on Idaho Avenue.
4:27 p.m. A resident on Texas Avenue came home to find a bike thrown over her fence and her scooter stolen.
6:25 p.m. A two gallon jar of dimes and a laptop were stolen from a home on Pine Place.
6:50 p.m. A resident on Washington Avenue found an iPad and laptop in his backyard.
Tuesday, May 21
12:43 a.m. An intoxicated man on Baker was screaming and threatening people.
12:23 p.m. A group was planning to hand out copies of the Bible on East 2nd Street and at the high school.
4:35 p.m. A laptop was stolen from Datoka Avenue.
4:38 p.m. A man was arrested on Minnesota Avenue after getting into a dispute with a woman. The two were heard swearing and yelling at each other inside a camper. The man reportedly threw a piece of glass at the woman and had her blocked inside the camper. The man reportedly grabbed his rifle case as the woman left.
Wednesday, May 22
1:28 a.m. Police were patrolling the alleys near Dakota Avenue.
2:08 p.m. Two suspicious boys on bikes were snooping around homes on East 3rd Street.
2:38 p.m. A man found his stolen bike in front of the grocery store. He was waiting for the person who stole it to come out of the store.
2:53 p.m. A man was arrested after allegedly stealing a vehicle from Idaho Avenue. Police chased the man through a field and into a swamp.
3:44 p.m. People handing out Bibles near the school were reportedly jumping at vehicles.
11:14 p.m. A woman was arrested after allegedly assaulting a driver with the Ride Guy taxi.
Thursday, May 23
12:28 a.m. A resident on West 8th Street said a drunk Canadian tried to get into his neighbor’s vehicle.
5:41 a.m. Downed trees were blocking Somers Avenue.
9:32 a.m. A bike was stolen from Spruce Court.
5:34 p.m. A student’s Kindle was stolen from his backpack.
5:48 p.m. A man in a plaid shirt carrying a skateboard was yelling at customers and employees at a restaurant downtown.
Friday, May 24
12:36 a.m. Report of a shirtless man with a bloody nose attempting to start fights in front of a bar on Central Avenue.
12:29 p.m. Neighbors on Haugen Heights were fighting over a house cat pooping in the yard. The parties were counseled to handle the situation better in the future.
11:58 p.m. Someone drove over new sod on East 2nd Street.
Saturday, May 25
2:22 a.m. Neighbors reported an intoxicated man on Haugen Heights making a fool of himself and banging on doors. The man reportedly broke down the back door of a house.
Sunday, May 26
1:52 a.m. A fight was broken up on East 3rd Street.
12:55 p.m. A man with Alzheimer’s escaped from a care center twice in the same day.
1:43 p.m. A verbal disturbance was reported after a man saw a woman he thought he knew on U.S. 93 South. It turns out it was not the same woman. Another woman then began yelling at the man and followed him home.
7:43 p.m. Two boys were cussing and flipping off a resident at the beach.
8:54 p.m. A dead beaver was reported on U.S. 93 South. The reporting caller was too upset to dispose of the animal.
9:38 p.m. An intoxicated man was stumbling around near the Kiddie Park. It looked as if he wet himself.
10:29 a.m. A resident on Central Avenue confronted three men seen kicking over trash cans. He walked them to their car and had them leave.
