Phyllis V. Bunce, 90, resident of Coeur d’Alene, died May 29, 2013, at Kootenai Medical Center in Coeur d’Alene. Phyllis was born Jan. 1, 1923, in Parshall, N.D., to Kasmer and Maryann (Kraft) Werlinger.

She married Everett Bunce on April 15, 1944, in Van Hook, N.D. They moved to Pinehurst in 1944, then to Coeur d’Alene in 1954, later to Pritchard in 1994 returning to Coeur d’Alene five years ago. During her working life, she was a bartender and cocktail waitress. Phyllis was a member of St. Pius Catholic Church in Coeur d’Alene. She enjoyed gardening, yard work and quilting.

Phyllis is survived by two sons and one daughter-in-law, Richard and Sharon of Potlatch, and Douglas of Coeur d’Alene; one daughter and son-in-law, Teresa and Greg Abernathy of Coeur d’Alene; five grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Everett, in 1995.

Funeral Mass will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, June 3, 2013, at St. Pius Catholic Church, 625 E. Haycraft, Coeur d’Alene, with burial to follow at Coeur d’Alene Memorial Gardens.
