Preparedness, health care expo coming to Royal

ROYAL CITY - Grant Hospital District No. 7 (Royal City), the Columbia Basin Herald and Confluence Health are sponsoring a Preparedness and Health Care Expo on Wednesday, Nov. 6, from 4-8 p.m. at the Red Rock Elementary School Gym.

There will be a host of agencies from around the state and county to help answer any preparedness questions. GHD7 board chair Murphy noted not everyone is immune from disaster, and preparedness is good for everyone.

There will be something for everyone at Expo. There will be interpreters for those who do not read or speak English.

There will be free health screenings and lots of information, which include vision, dental, hearing, diabetes, blood pressure, chiropractic massage, and many more.

Vendors will include: Confluence Medical, Grant Integrated Services Fire District No. 10, PUD emergency services, Grant Co. Emergency Services, American Red Cross, Aging & Adult Health Care, Long Term Care, Avalon, Zumba, Dental, Vision, Essential Oils, Nutrition, ACA/Health Insurance Information, Medicare and Medicaid.
